The game world of Grand Theft Auto V will feature weather, beautiful sunsets and extreme environments, according to screenshots released by Rockstar Games Wednesday morning.
Grand Theft Auto V's screenshots, all taken from in-engine gaming footage, imply players will be able to perform crazy feats like skydive or explore underwater caves, along with the traditional game standards like driving and causing violent mayhem.
They also give us an idea that the expansive game world of Los Santos, said to be the largest Rockstar has ever produced, will feature weather events, though it's not apparent if those will affect gameplay.
We also get glimpses of the game's three playable protagonists: Michael, a hardened crime boss; Franklin, a skilled driver; and Trevor, previously described by Rockstar as one of the most violent characters of the already brutal franchise.
Grand Theft Auto V is scheduled to come out Sept. 17, recently delayed from the original Spring 2013 release. It will come to both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
